But it was in the 4×100-meter relay where Bowie truly shone. The US team which also included English Gardner Tianna Bartoletta and Allyson Felix won the gold medal in a time of 41.01 seconds setting a new national record. Bowie ran the second leg of the race helping the team to build a commanding lead that they never relinquished.
